In Case of a Blackout...

Hey guys! Last night, my whole neighborhood had a power outage for twelve hours. As awful as it was to do homework in my pitch-black room, I came up with three blackout essentials:

1. Light as many candles as you can without setting your house on fire. This is where my huge candle collection finally came in handy (I have a bunch more that I didn't include in the photos, btw). My favorite candle stores are Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Target.

2. Build a cozy pillow fort. The picture below was actually taken a little while ago, which is why there are fairy lights. The one I built last night was lit only by a couple of flashlights.

3. Grab a flashlight and read a good book. Some suggestions: Girl Online, the Devil Wears Prada, any Harry Potter book (and yes, I'm a total HP nerd).
